OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR150-MM PLASTIC CUBE MOULD

150-MM  PLASTIC CUBE MOULD

These plastic cube mould are manufactured to produce 150-mm specimens to satisfy the dimensional requirements of DIN 51229 and ISO 1920 : 1976.  the one-piece construction allows cubes to be made in the normal way and considerable time saving is achieved in ejecting the cube by using air or water pressure through a small hole in the base of the mould.  After ejection of the cube, there is virtually no debris remaining and the mould requires only to be wiped with an oily rag before it is ready to be re-used.  The material from which the moulds are made is nearly 8 times lighter than steel, resulting in much lower freight  and handling costs and is stable over the range -10OC to +60OC.  Its durability allows a considerable amount of rough handling without any damage to, or deterioration of the moulds.  Repeated usage will produce no corrosion of the material and tests indicate that the wear factor is at least equal to that of steel
